Expedite Expo features new exhibitors in 2012

The Expedite Expo returns for its 12th year in 2012, and this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better.

The Expo is scheduled for July 27 and 28 at the Roberts Convention Centre in Wilmington, Ohio.

The Expo will once again feature something for everyone, from live entertainment to an antique truck show to a smorgasbord of trucking products and information presented by exhibitors from every facet of the industry.

This year’s Expo will also feature several first-time exhibitors, including:

• Delco Remy, a leading global manufacturer, remanufacturer and distributor of light duty starters, alternators and electric motor technology and Delco Remy brand heavy-duty systems.

• Detroit Radiator, which engineers and manufactures some of the best aftermarket heavy duty radiators, charge air coolers and A/C condensers on the market, with a focus on heavy-duty trucks.

• Eclipse Expediting, a Michigan-based carrier that launched in March 2011 as an offshoot of America Expedited.

• RAM Nationwide, a Cincinnati-based carrier and parent company of RAM Motor Freight and RAM Transportation Services.

• T.E. Smith Transport and Logistics, a family-operated, Ontario-based carrier licensed for all the continental United States and all Canadian provinces.

The Expo also will feature two appearances by Jungle Jack Hannah’s troupe from the Columbus Zoo. The troupe will appear each day at 2 p.m.

On Friday, July 27th, Canadian country music artist  Crystal Shawanda will perform at the Expo’s Party on the Patio, which begins at 10 p.m.

On Saturday, July 28th, Pure Grain will perform at 11 a.m. The band blends southern soul music with country and old-school blue-collar rock for a unique sound.

Other highlights of the Expo will include a Casino Night, Drivers' Choice Awards, a variety of giveaways, driver workshops, TruckPro seminars and a driver-sponsored barbecue. In short, there’s something for everyone at Expedite Expo 2012.
