What a Way to Spend a Weekend! Expedite Expo July 25th and 26th 2014

America’s largest trucking show for expediters, the Expedite Expo, will be held July 25th and 26th at the Roberts Convention Centre in Wilmington Ohio.  Expedite Expo provides a weekend of family fun, learning and networking for all who are interested in expediting, already in the field, or interested in trucks.  Admission and parking are free!  Register to attend at expediteexpo.com.

This year the Expedite Expo is proud to have scheduled Ann Ferro, director of the FMCSA, as a featured speaker.  Ms. Ferro will be speaking on subjects such as crash accountability, time weighting and the 30-minute and 34-hour restart rule in the Hours of Service.  After Ms. Ferro’s talk, she will conduct a question and answer session to address attendees’ questions and concerns.

On the business side, forums by industry experts will be offered throughout the Expo.  Learn about expediting, driver retention, marketing, freight forecasts, and much more.  Whether you are a driver or a businessperson, there is something educational for everyone.  Are you looking for a job, a truck, insurance coverage, or a carrier to lease on with?  Plenty of opportunities are provided to network with many companies and their representatives during the Expo.

Fun abounds throughout the Expedite Expo.  Starting off the Expo both mornings, a PJ walk is conducted for those who wish for some exercise to get loosened up for the rest of the day.  In conjunction with the Expo,  The All American Antique Truck Show gives folks a look at the trucks of yesterday.  Registration and parking are free for the truck shows.

On Friday night at 4 pm, The Great Lakes Convoy for cancer research kicks off at 4pm. The convoy will travel with a police escort on a loop of 30 miles returning to the Roberts Centre.  That evening CIS Casino Night sponsored by CIS begins and is followed by the Party on the Patio sponsored by SmartTruck.   

Saturday afternoon and evening, starting at 3 pm, Espar will be giving away an Espar D2 with new Digi-Max controller, a $2000 value! This drawing is open to ExpeditersOnline.com forum members only, and you must be present to win!  At 4 pm there will be a $1000 Cash Giveaway and the Drivers' Choice Award for the best truck exhibited chosen by attending drivers along with recognition of all sponsors.

At 5 pm, a Potluck and Cook Out, Hosted by Expediters Online in the Expediters Online Hospitality Tent in the West parking lot.  Please bring a side dish, drinks, or dessert to share.  Hamburgers, hot dogs and brats will be provided.  All are welcome! Bring a chair and any extra water you may have left. The Great Lakes Convoy will also hold a silent auction and raffle.
