What to Expect at Expedite Expo 2015
Are you an owner-operator looking to take your business (and income) to the next level?
Are you seeking a new profitable career opportunity that gives you freedom to travel the country?
Are you wanting to learn more about the newest trucks and technologies that will equip you for success as an expediter?
Then come to Expedite Expo, July 24 and 25, in Wilmington, Ohio.
Expedite Expo is the only trade event focused exclusively on the expedited trucking industry. Launched in 2001, Expedite Expo has experienced a steady growth in exhibitors, attendees and media exposure. Attendees and exhibitors from across the US and Canada come to the Expo to learn about the newest trucks, career opportunities and products geared specifically to owner operators and drivers of medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
There will be several workshops led by industry experts to help you expand your knowledge on various aspects of the expedite business, including how to spec a truck, choose the right carrier, reduce costs, improve profits and save time. You'll also be able to network with people who speak your language and share your day-to-day challenges, so that you can exchange ideas and compare notes.
And whether you're new to expediting or a seasoned veteran, you'll also want to take advantage of these opportunities at the Expo.
1. All-New Pre-Trip Challenge - Sponsored by TravelCenters of America (TA)
If you operate a commercial vehicle, you need to perform a pre-trip inspection to ensure the truck is safe to drive. So, how good are you at spotting potential issues on your truck? Take the Pre-Trip Challenge and test your knowledge. Score 100-percent and receive a gift from TA. Pre-Trip Challenges are scheduled for both show days at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm, at booth #A4.
2. All-New Sessions "On the Floor"
This year, two booths will be offering informational sessions on the show floor. At booth #A5, TA will offer three "Let's Get Technical" sessions each day at 9:30am, 11:30am and 1:30pm. These sessions will provide you tips and advice on engine oil, filtration and tires. And Stoops Specialty Trucks at booth #251 will offer sessions twice a day at 10:30am and 12:30pm on "Getting the Most Out of Your New Automated Transmission and Engine."

4. ExpeditersOnline.com Driver BBQ
Immediately following the close of the Expo at 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, there will be a driver-sponsored BBQ dinner, hosted by ExpeditersOnline.com with proceeds donated to St. Christopher's Fund. Porky's Pickle BBQ Catering will arrive one hour before the event with a smoking pit, so that you'll have the opportunity to check out and take pictures of the hog. They'll perform the traditional "Kissin' of the Hog Nose for Luck" ritual and teach you about "The history of BBQ in America" before carving the hog. Come hungry as Porky's serves up the succulent, juicy meat samples, drenched in your choice of BBQ sauces.
